On Tuesday 12 January 2010, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Haiti’s capital of Port-au-Prince, causing catastrophic destruction and leaving many people without even the most basic amenities.
Playfish was deeply saddened by this devastating event and is now offering players an effective, fast and safe way to support the people of Haiti through Mercy Corps (http://www.mercycorps.org/), a global disaster response organization. If $100,000 in donations are made to this page over the next two weeks, Playfish will give every player in Pet Society, Restaurant City, Country Story and Poker Rivals a special item as our way of saying thank you. Every little bit helps, so no matter how much you give we’re certain it will be appreciated by all those affected by the earthquake.
